Background

Tunturikylä Muotkan Ruoktu was built in the years 1966-1967. From the year 1976 as the host of Muotkan Ruoktu has been reindier owner Hans Niittyvuopio and his family from Karigasniemi.

Nowadays in Muotkan Ruoktu there are, in addition to the fine main building of dead barkless pines, 18 cottages, 4 rooms, caravan and camping areas. The main building is very attractive place for dining and living room, where the very personal and humorous host makes by his gentle chatting visitors enjoy their stay.

 In addition of lodging and dining services Muotkan Ruoktu offers in winter fine skiing possibilities and in summer good terrain for trecking. The river Peltojoki and other water course offers possibilities for fishing.
